Voting is very important. Unfortunately delivering my newspaper in the morning is not as important. Yesterday was the primary election for our area. I was looking forward to getting my newspaper to do some last minute reading to find out which democrat I would vote for. Unfortunately it did not arrive.

Marla and I went and voted yesterday around 1P.M. The democratic nominations were not that impressive. Only one choice Alderson vs. Barend. I wake up today to see if my vote helped matter. Barend recieved 8,563 votes while Alderson only got 1,993. Hurray for Barend. Alderson from my research yesterday didn't even have a website.

I read further that out of all the people in our nice little town, only 9% of the democrats and 14% of the republicans found it important enough to make it out to the polls to vote. So in November, since the president is up for election, perhaps we can triple that? 42% Republicans, and 27% Democrats. Still not even half. We will see. I urge you to tell your friends and family to make it out to the polls. Especially if we want Barend to make it into office right?
