The mind versus say... the brain. I've read several books on the difference, well of course they were all science fiction, but who's counting right? Most of them are of the opinion that the brain is just the matter and cells. The mind is the way they are arranged, the data it contains. Say one day they are able to scan the brain, and duplicate the information they find on a computer. Once they do that, the mind has a copy on the computer, if say they leave it running and thinking, a second personality of say Bryan appears. As my actions and thoughts start to differ from the computers we become different people. So the point of the matter is, the mind is different than the brain. Now the questions I have, what is the soul then? I mean what makes up a persons soul. Since I've always envisioned it to be say in your chest someplace. Maybe it is like star wars, some invisible meto clorines floating throughout your body. So what happens when you die? Your mind, and your soul, go to heaven (or hell), since obviously everyone gets to heaven knowing who their parents are, we must infer that the mind makes it, and the soul does as well. Of course if you look at the definition of soul, it could encompass the mind as well right? TTFN.
